in Northern ProvinceBocquillonia brevipes is an endemic shrub of New Caledonia restricted in the northeastern massifs of Grande Terre, from Povial to Arama. It is found in dense humid forest on volcano-sedimentary, from 20 and 400 m asl. The main threats identified are feral pigs (Sus scrofa), Rusa deer (Rusa tumorensis) and uncontrolled bushfires. Known from seven locations, its area of occupancy (AOO) and extent of occurrence (EOO) are 28 and 1,273 km², respectively. Therefore, B. brevipes is considered Vulnerable VU B1ab(iii,v)+2ab(iii,v) with an estimated decline of habitat quality and number of mature individuals.

B. brevipes is an endemic species of New Caledonia restricted to the northeastern massifs of Grande Terre, from Povila to Arama (Poum).

Population size is unknown.
Habitat
B. brevipes occurs in dense humide forest on volcano-sedimentary, from 20 et 400 m asl.
Threats
The main threats identified are Rusa deer (Rusa timorensis), feral pigs (Sus scrofa) and uncontrolled bushfires.
Conservation
B. brevipes is protected by legislation in Province Nord but it does not occur in any protected area. It is recommended to inform the inform the local authority responsible for the coordination of the firefighting effort and the local management committee on the presence of the species in the concerned areas.
