Trigastrotheca stricta is an indigenous species from New Caledonia, not seen since 1942. The last collection was made by Vieillard at Wagape, a vast location. Therefore it is not possible to determine the species ecology and distribution. Trigastrotheca stricta is therefore assessed as Data Deficient (DD).

Conservation


This autochtonous species is not protected by legislation in New Caledonia. It is recommended to continue the efforts of prospection in the northern east part of Grande Terre.
