Grevillea sinuata, commonly known as "Brosse à dents de Kouaoua or Brosse à dents des mineurs", endemic from New Caledonia. It is only known from the region of Farino, Moindou, Canala and Houailou at the central part of Grande Terre. This species occurs in maquis on serpentine and ultramafic soils at an altitude range of 100 and 700 m asl. Some subpopulations may be impacted by uncontrolled bushfires and mining activities (at Houailou). However this species is quite common and regeneration of the species is observed on field prospections. Therefore with an Area of Occupancy (AOO) and an Extent of Occurrence (EOO) equal to 36 and 614 km², respectively, Grevillea sinuata is not thought to approach the requirements for listing as threatened. It is listed as Least Concern (LC).

Geographical area

Grevillea sinuata is endemic to New Caledonia where it is only known from the region of Farino, Moindou, Canala and Houailou at the central part of Grande Terre.

Population

The population size is not known. However field observations indicate a species very common.

Habitat

This species occurs in maquis on serpentine and ultramafic soils at an altitude range of 100 and 700 m asl.

Conservation

Grevillea sinuata is not protected by legislation in New Caledonia but it does not occur in any protected area.
