Chambeyronia divaricata is an endemic solitary, slender and understory tree palm, largely distributed throughout New Caledonia from southeast to central Grande Terre. It occurs in humid forest on ultramafic substrate at an altitudinal range 10-1,100 m asl. This species does not seem directly threatened. C.divaricata is considered Least Concern (LC).

Chambeyronia divaricata is an endemic palm tree, largely distributed from southeast to central part of Grande Terre in New Caledonia.
Population
Population size is not precisely known but C. divaricata is a common species and often abundant in rocky habitats.
Habitat
Chambeyronia divaricata occurs in humid forest on ultramafic substrate at an altitudinal range 10-1,100 m asl.
Threats
This species does not seem globally threatened even though some subpopulations may be threatened by mining activities: Goro (VALE) and bushfires.
Conservation
Chambeyronia divaricata is protected by legislation in Province Nord and it occurs in twelve protected areas : la Dumbéa, Haute Yaté, Haute Dumbéa, Mont Do, Montagne des Sources, Massif du Kouakoué, Forêt Nord, Forêt de Saille, Vallée de la Thy, Nodela, Pic du Pin, Parc de la Rivière bleue.
