Least Concern (LC) , assessed in 20/07/2022"Burseraceae genus.nov. Grignon 634" is an endemic tree of New Caledonia, only known from Parc de la Rivière Bleue and the Kouakoué massif in the southern part of Grande Terre. This new species occurs in humid forests on ultramafic rocks at an altitudinal range of 250-563 m asl. This tree occurs in protected areas. There are currently no threats identified for this species. Despite having a relatively restricted range, this species is does not seem globally threatened and it is tentatively considered to be Least Concern (LC).
Geographical area
"Burseraceae genus.nov. Grignon 634" is endemic to New Caledonia where it is only known from Parc de la Rivière Bleue and Kouakoué massif in the southern part of Grande Terre.
