Exoperidium: greyish cream, breaking in to 6 - 10 rays, somewhat recurved and trapping debris; 15 - 35mm diameter.

Stipe: cylindrical, 1 - 2 × 0.5 - 1 mm.

Endoperidium: globose, pale grey; 5 - 10 mm; glabrous; pale brown, grey or cream.

Peristome: fimbriate, dark grey; well delineated.

Flesh: thin.

Spore print: brown ochraceous.
