Description
Pileus: hemispherical to campanulate; 10 - 20 mm diameter; glabrous; glutinous; lilac to wine red or red brown; margin striate.
Stipe: cylindrical; 15 - 60 × 1.5–3 mm; glabrous; glutinous; white tinted lilac to wine red or red brown.
Gills: adnexed; moderately distant; whitish tinted reddish brown, pink or lilac.
Flesh: red brown beneath cuticle, pink in stipe.
Spore print: white.
Spores: ellipsoid; 7 – 8.5 × 4 – 4.5 µm; smooth.
Notes: this species is recognized by its lilac to red brown glutinous cap, and paler whitish gills and glutinous stipe.
