Pileus: Shallowly convex with an umbo; 30 - 45 mm diameter; dry; velutinous; cream with a dark brown umbo.

Stipe: cylindrical; 25- 50 × 3–5 mm; pruinose; dry; cream.

Spines: adnexed; moderately crowded; pale creamy white.

Flesh: white, tough stringy in stipe.
