Pileus: convex; 10 - 15 mm diameter; velutinous; pink, dull orange pink; margin entire.

Stipe: cylindrical; 45- 60 × 1.5–2mm; glabrous; pinkish orange.

Gills: decurrent; distant; pale orange.

Flesh: pale pinkish orange.

Spore print: white.

Notes: this Hygrocybe did not fit any of the species in Horak or Young. Small cap and tall stem closest to H. boothii.
