Description

Pileus: conical to campanulate; 10 -20 mm diameter; fibrillose, slightly sticky; orange brown; margin incurved.

Stipe: cylindrical with an emarginate bulb; 20- 35 × 3–6mm; pruinose; white withpale straw tint.

Gills: adnexed to almost free; crowded; greyish brown.

Smell: spermatic.

Spore print: brown.

Spores: angular, nodulose; 7.5 – 9.5 × 5 – 7 µm; smooth.

Notes: this Inocybe is primarily a Northern Hemisphere species but has been reported from Australia and New Zealand and could possibly be introduced in New Caledonia. Sequencing will determine if it is identical to the Northern Hemisphere species.
