Cap: convex to applanate; 8–20 mm diameter; velutinate to subhirsute; white with grey fawn in centre and along radial striations; margin downturned.

Stipe: cylindrical; 20 – 45 × 3–5 mm; pruinose to hirsute; dark grey at base becoming paler to almost white at apex, hairs hyaline, paler than surface; insititious.

Gills: adnate; lamellulae in one series; white with a greyish tinge.

Flesh: thin, white.

Spore print: white.

Spores: not examined.

Notes: this Marasmius is characterized by its grey colours and the pale hairs on a dark grey stipe.
