Cap: convex to applanate; 2–5mm diameter; velutinate;white.

Stipe: cylindrical, tough; 3 – 5 × 0.5–1 mm; glabrous; dark brown to black at base, then brown and white at apex; insitious.

Gills: absent.

Spores: not examined.

Notes: this Marasmius is characterized by a white cap, no gills and a three tone stipe.It is possibly a Gloeocephala but not G. epiphylla. Needs to be checked in Desjardin & Horak.
