Cap: convex; 10–25mm diameter; glabrous but with a veil like bloom over the cap;blue grey; margin entire.

Stipe: cylindrical, tough; 15 – 35 × 1–3 mm; glabrous; dark reddish brown at base, then brown and white at apex.

Gills: adnexed to almost free; widely spaced; lamellulae in one series; lamellar edge blue grey.

Flesh: white

Spore print: white.

Spores: not examined.

Notes: this Marasmius is characterized by a blue grey cap with a surface bloom and white gills with a blue grey edge. Needs to be checked in Desjardin & Horak.
