Description
Cap: campanulate with a pronounced central depression; 4– 8mm diameter; viscid when wet; buff with a yellow brown apex and yellow brown radial stripes associated with the gills; margin white sulcate.
Stipe: cylindrical, curved; 10 - 20 × 2 - 4 mm; glabrous; translucent pale grey.
Gills: decurrent, arcuate; white; lamellulae in one series.
Flesh: thin, white.

Notes: this Mycena is characterized by its strange shaped cap with a depressed centre. It is somewhat like Maas & Horak’s M. detrusa from PNG, but this collection differs in other respects. Microscopic and other details are needed to make a firm determination
