Cap: campanulate becoming applanate; 15-45 mm diameter; radially striate sulcate with an apical disc; cinnamon brown with a red brown disc; margin crenulate.

Stipe:cylindrical, hollow;50 - 110 × 2.5–4.5 mm; glabrous; white.

Gills: adnexed to free; crowded; white at first, brownish then black at maturity.

Spore print: blue black.

Spores: ellipsoid; 13 – 16 × 7 – 9 µm; with a germ pore.

Notes: this Parasola is characterized by its pale brown cap which has a pleated appearance.
