Description
Fruiting body: ovoid, irregularly shaped; 20 – 40mm diameter; glabrous; pale orange to yellow.
Stipe: absent; with a single point of attachment to the substrate.
Gleba: cellular; white.
Flesh: soft, spongy.
Spores: in asci.
Notes: This fungus is recognised by its pale orange truffle like fruiting bodies growing on disturbed ground. It may just be a pale colour form of Paurocotylis pila. Microscopic data needed.
