Description
Cap: convex; 5-8 mm diameter; densely covered in semi erect hairs; yellow brown, hairs paler; margin ciliate.
Stipe: cylindrical; 8 - 10 × 0.5–1 mm; fibrillose, lannose; yellowish brown, darker than cap.
Gills: adnexed; pale red brown at maturity.
Spore print: brown.

Notes: this Phaeomarasmius is characterized by its very hairy cap and reddish brown gills. Further microscopic details are needed before its identity can be confirmed. This genus is now being moved to Tubaria.
