Cap: applanate, centrally depressed in the center, circular; 20-40 mm diameter; glabrous; yellowish brown; margin acute.
Stipe: central to somewhat eccentric, cylindrical; 15-35× 3-6mm, glabrous, reddish to brown to dark brown; base somewhat thickened.
Pores: decurrent; cream-coloured to cinnamon; pores round; 6 – 9 per mm.
Flesh: tough, cream to pale cinnamon.
Spore print: hyaline.

Notes: This fungus is recognized by its yellowish brown cap with a central depression, darker brown stipe and pale coloured decurrent small pores.
