Cap: convex with an umbo; 15-30 mm diameter; fibrillose squamulose; fawn, pale pinkish brown with an ochre brown umbo becoming dark brown when wet; margin entire.

Stipe: cylindrical; 20 - 40 × 3–4 mm; glabrous; buff becoming dark ochre brown with age.

Gills: adnexed; moderately crowded; clay brown.
