Cap: convex becoming centrally depressed; 25 - 40 mm diameter; minutely velutinous, areolate (cracked); pinkish grey with purplish grey centre and a white bloom; margin entire, somewhat inrolled.

Stipe: cylindrical to clavate; 30 - 50 × 5 - 8 mm; pubescent with pinkish grey floccules on a whitish base.

Gills: adnate to subdecurrent; white; lamellulae absent.
