Description

Fruiting body: reniform to semicircular; up to 80 mm diameter by 1 - 2 mm thick; laterally attached; soft rubbery gelatinous.

Upper surface: pileus minutely tomentose to almost glabrous, often finely wrinkled; pale fawn to pale reddish brown.

Lower surface (hymenium): reticulate gelatinous ridges, meruloid; fungus transluscent when held up to the light.

Spore print:

Spores: allantoid; 10 - 13 × 5 - 6 µm.

Notes: this species is characterised by the transluscent fruiting bodies with strongly reticulate gelatinous lower surface.

Support

Growing on wood in gregarious or caespitose groups, occasionally solitary.
