Description

Pileus: convex; 35-40 mms diameter; glabrous; pink; margin not appendiculate.

Stipe: cylindrical to clavate; 30 - 40 ×5-8 mm; glabrous; uniformly red orred at apex and yellow below.

Pores: emarginate (depressed about the stipe); oval; 2 - 3 per mm; yellow, old gold.

Flesh:red beneath the cuticle and at apex of stipe, yellow in lower part of stipe.

Spore print: brown

Spores: ellipsoid to ovate; 7 – 9 × 5 – 6 µm; smooth.

Notes: this collection fits Horak’s description of a small pink Bolete with small ovoid spores.
