Description
Fruiting body: awl shaped; 4 – 10 mm tall; glabrous;apex spathulate, bright yellowish orange; transluscent.
Stipe: cylindrical; 3 – 8 × 1 – 2 mm; white, transluscent.
Flesh: firm but gelatinous.
Spore print: white.

Notes: this fungus is characterized by its upright fruiting bodies with a yellow spathulate tip and a white transluscent stipe. Almost certainly a Calocerabut further descriptive and microscopic information is needed to make a firm identification to species.Shirouzu and colleagues suggest that southern hemisphere Caloceras are distinct and difficult to identify from their morphology alone.
