Pileus: convex becoming centrally depressed; 10 – 30 mm diameter; glabrous; dry; yellow to orange; margin acute.

Stipe:tapering towards base; 5 – 15 × 3 – 5 mm; glabrous; dry; yellow to orange.

Gills: decurrent; broadly spaced; anastomizing; yellow to orange.

Flesh:firm, orange to yellow.

Spore print:white to pale yellow.

Spores: ellipsoid; 8 - 9 × 5 - 6 µm; smooth; inamyloid.

Notes: close to C. cibarius and C. viscosus in its macro characters
