Description
Pileus: conical to campanulate; 15 - 45 mm diameter; dry; covered in vinaceous brown to purple fibres, with squamules towards the apex; margin in-rolled at first.
Stipe: cylindrical; 50 - 100 × 21 - 4.5 mm; white; dry; fibrillose towards the apex.
Gills: adnexed to almost free; white to cream, turning pink with a purple brown crenulate edge.
Flesh: whitish.
Spore print: pink.
Spores: cuboid to tetrahedral; 7.5 - 10 µm; smooth.
Notes: this fungus is best recognized by its pink cap, pink spores and white stem. microscopic characters.
