Description
Pileus: convex becoming planoconvex; 15 – 30 mm diameter; finely fibrillose, may be finely squamulose in the centre; pinkish brown, copper brown, red brown; margin smooth.
Stipe: cylindrical, hollow; 20 – 60 × 2 – 6 mm; pinkish brown.
Gills: adnexed; white turning pink, edge smooth.
Flesh: white but pinkish brown under cuticle.
Spore print: pink.
Spores: angular; 5 – 8 sided; 8 – 11 × 7 – 8.5 µm.
Notes: this rose pink Entoloma is reported from the northern hemisphere. It is not clear whether the New Caledonia record is exactly the same species.
