Pileus: convex then centrally depressed; 50 - 80 mm diameter;dry;velutinous, splitting at the margin; dark brown;margin retracted.

Stipe: cylindrical, hollow or chambered; 35- 80 × 8–20mm; pruinose; dry; brown with white at the base.

Pores: adnexed to free; angular; creamy white becoming pale yellow at maturity..

Flesh: white, firm.

Spore print: pale yellow.
