Description
Pileus: shallowly convex to applanate; 25 - 50 mm diameter; matt, rugulose; pale to dark brown with darker rugulose veins radiating from centre; margin acute.
Stipe: tapering strongly towards base; 20 × 3-4 mm; glabrous, matt; brown to pale biege.
Gills: subdecurrent; cream with a distinctive brown margin; lamellulae in one series.
Flesh:
Milk: cloudy, clear with white flecks.
Spore print: pale cream.
Notes: this species is likely to be a new species and possibly in the subgenus Gerardi. The rugulose cap and dark gill edges appear to be distinctive.
