Description
Cap: convex; 1 - 3 mm diameter; hirsute, dry; silvery cream with a pale brown glabrous apex.
Stipe: cylindrical, very tough; 60 – 120 × 0.5 - 1 mm; hirsute; very dark shiny red brown becoming paler at apex.
Gills: adnexed.
Flesh: very thin, tough, white.
Smell: none.
Spore print: white.

Notes: this Marasmius was described by Patouillard from a specimen sent by Le Rat from NC. The very tall hirsute stipe is the key character.
