Description
Cap: convex; 30-65 mm diameter; dry, minutely tomentose to smooth; pale brown with a paler hazel margin.
Stipe: cylindrical, distinctly tapering; 40 – 80 × 8 – 10 mm; fibrillose streaky; ochre to yellow at apex,date brown below,gradually becoming darker towards base.
Gills: decurrent; lemon yellow; bruising green then slowly browning.
Flesh: not observed
Spore print: honey brown.
Spores: fusiform; 12 – 15 µm long.
Notes: this small Phylloporus has a pale brown cap, lemon yellow decurrent gills and a brown stipe. It exhibits some green staining of the gills. More information is needed to reach a conclusion on whether this is a known or new species.
