Description

Pileus: convex with a flat topped umbo; 50 – 65 mm diameter; brown with sepia patch at centre and sepia to yellow brown radially arranged squamules and fibrils.

Stipe: cylindrical; 50 – 65 × 7 –8 mm; pale brown with a large pendulous ring 70% up stipe.

Gills: free; very crowded; pinkish white at first becoming brown.

Flesh:

Spore print: dark brown.

Notes: a medium sized Agaricus with a sepia and brown cap and a large pendulous ring.

Support

Growing in litter in mixed native forest.
