Description

Pileus: convex to hemisperical; 30 – 40 mm diameter; redbrown radially arranged red brown fibrils on a paler background.

Stipe: cylindrical to clavate; 50 – 65× 10 – 12 mm; whiteon upper half, red brown like cap below; ring pendulous, fragile, 75% up stipe.

Gills: free; very crowded; pinkish brown.

Flesh: thick, staining red on bruising.

Notes: A medium sized red brown Agaricus with a white and red brown stipe.

Growing in litter in mixed native forest.
