Description
Cap: convex with a shallow central depression; 40 - 70 mms diameter; radially fibrillose; concentric bands almost concolourous red brown to cinnamon.
Stipe: central, cylindrical, irregular; 70 - 120 × 4 - 6 mms; redbrown, velutinate; attached to roots or wood.
Pores: adnexed; polygonal; irregular sizes, 3 – 4 per mm; cinnamon.
Flesh: thick and woody;tobacco brown.
Spore print: brown.

Notes:This fungus is difficult to recognize. The fibrillose brown cap and red brown stipe seem distinct and closer to Coltricia. Further data needed to determine if this is distinct.
