Description
Fruiting body: a branched coral fungus; 50 – 75 mm tall,20 -40 mm wide; glabrous, dry; branches dividing in to 2 – 4 at each level; up to 7 levels; buff withochraceous tips.
Stipe: conspicuous; 5 – 10 × 2 – 3 mm; fawn to brown.
Flesh: firm but soft, with a peppery smell.

Notes: this coral fungus is characterized by its upright branching form and fawn and ochraceous colours. Probably an Artomyces but further descriptive and microscopic information is needed to make a firm identification.
