Pileus: convex; 35 – 45 mm diameter; fibrillose,dry;brown fibres over yellow brown surface, margin retracted.

Stipe: cylindrical; glabrous, slightly fibrillose with redbrown vertical fibrils over a white surface.

Pores: adnexed; lemon yellow, angular.

Notes: This small bolete with yellow pores a brown cap and reddish stem could be a Xerocomus.
