Pileus: convex becoming centrally depressed; 35 – 45 mm diameter; glabrous, granular; slightly viscid; greyish brown with a purple tint; margin appendiculate.

Stipe: cylindrical; 55 – 60 × 8 – 12 mm; fibrillose; yellow at apex, reddish purple in centre becoming greyish purple at base.

Pores: adnate; angular; lemon yellow.
