Notes: this fungus is characterized by its upright cylindrical fruiting bodies with a pointed apex and yellow orange colours. Almost certainly a Calocerabut further descriptive and microscopic information is needed to make a firm identification to species. Shirouzu and colleagues suggest that southern hemisphere Caloceras are distinct and difficult to identify from their morphology alone.
