Description
Fruiting body: pyriform (pear shaped) to irregularly globose; 40 –70 mm diameter; glabrous at first, becoming areolate, matt;white;often crenulated with broad creases in the lower part of the peridiumand the stipe; at maturity the outer layer of the peridium disintegrates releasing the spores.
Stipe: present; 25 – 35× 25 – 35; white; with rhizoids attaching it to the substrate.
Spore print: olivaceous brown.

Notes: this puffball is recognized by its size and white colours. It appears to have a global distribution.
