Description

Pileus: reniform, laterally attached; 5 – 7 mm diameter; minutely velutinous; white becoming tinted olive grey with age.

Stipe: eccentric; 3 × 1 mm; tomentose; grey olivaceous/

Gills: radially arranged; irregular, branching, 5 – 8 main gills; white.

Flesh: thin, translucent.

Spore print: white.

Spores: subglobose; 8 - 10 – 5 - 6µm.

Notes: This small laterally attached fungus has irregular branched gills typical of Campanella and grows on rushes according to Horak. Ducousso comments that it occurs on multiple hosts so may be Campanella tristis.
