Description
Pileus: applanate to centrally depressed; 15 – 40 mm diameter; glabrous; dry; buff; margin eroded.
Stipe: tapering towards base; 10 – 15 × 3 – 5 mm; glabrous; dry; buff.
Gills: decurrent; broadly spaced; anastomizing; lilac.
Flesh: firm, pale buff.
Spore print: white to pale yellow.
Spores:
Notes: distinguished from other Cantharellus species by its buff coloured cap and stipe and its lilac gills. Somewhat like the European C. melanoxeros.
