Description
Pileus: convex; up to 50 - 60 mm diameter; fibrillose; dry; greyish brown fibres on a paler buff base; margin acute.
Stipe: cylindrical; 50 – 60 × 10 – 12 mm; dry; buff and covered in straw coloured squamules.
Gills: adnate; moderately spaced; pinkisk lilac, darkening to rusty brown as the spores mature; lamellulae present in one intercalated series.
Flesh: moderately thin, off-white.
Spore print: rusty brown.
