Pileus: convex to planoconvex; up to 2 - 5 mm diameter; strigose hairs cover the cap; wood  brown.

Stipe:cylindrical; 13 – 20 × 0.2 – 0.8 mm; strongly hairy; dark brown.

Gills: adnexed to free; white.

Flesh: thin, tough.

Spore print: white.                       

Spores: ellipsoid; 10–12.5× 4 – 6µm; smooth.

Notes: this Crinipellis is characterized by its long hairy dark brown stem and its small pale cap.
