Pileus: convex to planoconvex; up to 5–6.5 mm diameter; strigosehairs cover the cap; chestnut brown.

Stipe: cylindrical; 30 – 45 × 0.3 – 0.8 mm; strongly hairy; dark brown.

Gills:free; distant; white.

Flesh: thin, tough.

Spore print: white.                       

Spores: lacrymoid; 8.5–9× 3.8 – 4.2µm; smooth.

Notes: this Crinipellis is characterized by its long hairy dark brown stem and its chestnut brown cap.
