Description
Pileus: convex to conical with a blunt apex; 5- 17 mm diameter; dry; tomentose fibrillose; dark grey brown; margin sulcate.
Stipe: cylindrical; 10 - 80 × 1 - 2 mm; dry; tomentose; brown.
Gills: adnate; distant, 20 - 25 reaching stipe; dark grey brown with a white fimbriate edge, turning pink with age.
Flesh: white.
Smell: none or farinose.
Spore print: pink.
Spores: nodulose; 12 - 20 × 9 - 10 µm; smooth.
Notes: this fungus is recognised by its dark grey brown tomentose fruit body and its remarkably large nodulose spores.
