Stipe: cylindrical; 50 – 100 × 5 – 5 mm; fibrillose, often twisted; dry; light powder blue, often white at base..

Gills: adnexed to free; moderately crowded; blueishwhen young, becoming pinkish brown..

Flesh: blueish.

Spore print: pink.                       

Spores: cuboid; 11–15× 11 – 14µm; smooth.
