Alyxia cylindrocarpa is a species endemic of New Caledonia with a large and scattered distribution across the Grande Terre. It is known from Port Boisé at the far south to Kouaoua area and from Kopéto to Tiebaghi-Ouegoa area at the northern limit. This species occurs in humid forests and scrubland on ultramafic substrate at an altitude range of 20-640 m asl. This species is a forest species and it does not seem to be threatened. Therefore Alyxia cylindrocarpa is listed as Least Concerned (LC).
Geographical area
Alyxia cylindrocarpa is endemic to New Caledonia where it has a large and scattered distribution across the Grande Terre. It is known from Port Boisé at the far south of Grande Terre to Kouaoua area and from Kopéto to Tiebaghi-Ouegoa area at the upper limit of the distribution.
Population
The population size is not known.

This species occurs in humid forests and scrubland on ultramafic at an altitude range of 20- 640 m asl.

This species is a forest species and it does not seem to be threatened.
Conservation
This species is protected by legislation in Province Nord and it does occur in three protected areas: la Dumbéa, Haute Dumbéa, Rivière bleue.
