Pancheria beauverdiana is an endemic shrub/small tree of the north-east part of Grande Terre in New Caledonia. It is found in forest edges and degraded vegetation at low and mid altitude on volcano-sedimentary substrate. This species does not seem directly threatened. Pancheria beauverdiana is considered Least Concern (LC).
Geographical area
Pancheria beauverdiana is spread in the north-east part of Grande Terre in New Caledonia, from Ignambi in the north to Ouaïème in the south.
Population
This species can be locally abundant.
Habitat
This species is found in dense humid forest (edges) along rivers as well as niaouli savannas at low and mid altitude (150-530 m asl) on volcano-sedimentary substrate.
Threats
This species does not seem globally threatened. This species can regenerate after a fire (it grows back from the base or branches).
Conservation
Unprotected by legislation, this species is found in one protected area (Mont Panié).
