Pycnandra griseosepala is an endemic tree of New Caledonia largely distributed across Grande Terre in New Caledonia, from Ouégoa to Rivière Bleue. Pycnandra griseosepala is found in humid forest on various substrate at an altitudinal range 150-900 m asl. This species is largely distributed and does not seem directly threatened. Pycnandra griseosepala is considered Least Concern (LC).

Pycnandra griseosepala is largely distributed across Grande Terre in New Caledonia, from Ouégoa to Rivière Bleue.

Population


This species is quite common. It is known from 10-13 sub-populations.

Habitat


Pycnandra griseosepala is found in humid forest on various substrate at an altitudinal range 150-900 m asl.

Threats


This species does not seem globally threatened.

Conservation


Unprotected by legislation, P. griseosepala occurs in seven protected areas : Haute Dumbéa, la Dumbéa, Parc des Grandes Fougères, Rivière bleue, Mont Panié, Forêt de Saille, Aoupinié.
