Cap: campanulate becoming applanate;12-30 mm diameter; radially striate sulcate with an apical disc; pale brown when young becoming white with a brown central disc; margin crenulate.

Stipe: cylindrical, hollow;50 - 110 × 2.5–4.5 mm; glabrous; white.

Gills: attached to a collar; moderately crowded; white at first, brownish then black at maturity.

Spore print: blue black.

Spores: ellipsoid; 9.5 – 13 × 6 – 8.5 µm; with a germ pore.
