Ancistrachne numaeensis is an endemic species of New Caledonia restricted to the west coast of the Grande Terre, from Nouméa to the Presqu'île de Gatope. It occurs in dry forest on calcareous and rarely on serpentine substrates up to 300 m asl. The main threat to this species is the Achatine, a ....? This species can also be impacted by bushfires, urbanisation and invasive species (rusa deer, Rusa timorensis). Its extent of occurrence (EOO) and area of occupancy (AOO) are 1,725 and 60 km², respectively, and the number of locations is estimated to be seven. Therefore, Ancistrachne numaeensis is listed as Endangered (EN) under criteria B1ab(iii,v)+B2ab(iii,v) with an estimated continuing decline of the habitat and the number of mature individuals.

Ancistrachne numaeensis is an endemic species of New Caledonia, where it is restricted to the west coast of the Grande Terre, from Nouméa to the Presqu'île de Gatope.
Population
The population size is unknown. However field observations indicate a species that is not common.

This species occurs in dry forest on calcareous and rarely on serpentine substrates up to 300 m asl.

Conservation
Ancistrachne numaeensis is protected by legislation in New Caledonia and it does not occur in any protected area.
